The photo on the left comes from an old postcard advertising the Ole Corral Restaurant, run by Colonel Bill Gano, a name that seems to have never quite made it into the history books.   When this page was originally published in late April 2007, I asked if any readers might know anything about this restaurant.  Almost instantly, John Holcombe wrote to let me know that he had unearthed some great archival material pertaining to the Ole Corral.  Make sure to hit the "Next Photo" button for much more information on this place.  Thanks, John!

 

The Ole Corral Restaurant is long gone, of course.  The site of this former eatery is now the Adams Park Branch of the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library System, a picture of which is below.
