The Town & Country Hotel Courts is, surprisingly, still in business. At least, I think it is. The "For Sale" sign out front, though, may indicate that the building's days are numbered. Were someone to buy this property, I have a hard time imagining that the plan would be anything other than redeveloping the land.
In an attempt to nail down some facts, I called the Town & Country and asked what year it was built. Strangely, the woman who picked up the phone when I called merely said "Hello." None of this "Town & Country, may I help you?" business.
Anyhow, she had no idea what year the Town & Country was built. Out of curiosity, I asked how much it cost to rent a room. Again she told me she didn't know. Very odd, as they say. Perhaps they don't really function as a hotel anymore. Perhaps all their business is walk-ups. At the very least, I got the impression that she was convinced that no one in their right mind would call and make an actual reservation.
