The former Atlanta Federal Savings & Loan building at the corner of Marietta and Broad Streets was known as the Third National Bank in 1911 when this building opened.  At some point, its facade was sheathed in aluminum, visible below, to give it an updated appearance that hasn't aged very well.   These days, it's an apartment/condo complex known as The Metropolitan.  This 1966 photo appears here courtesy of the Georgia State University Library, file #N36-176_c.   Lower photo: February, 2013.     Google map
