Model railroader Joseph L. Massey has spent a great deal of time working on modeling the Georgia railroad and downtown Atlanta's train infrastructure as it appeared in the early 1950s.  He mentions that these photos all show works in progress and are not necessarily intended to be 100% complete with regard to every minor detail.  Nevertheless, these are some tremendous likenesses and obviously represent a vast amount of time.

This picture shows another view of the Union Station passenger platforms at the station's rear.  In the foreground, we see a piece of the roof of the N.C. & St. L. Warehouse.  Above the station, you can spot a sliver of the Rich's building as well as a small piece of the Rich's parking deck.  On the far right is the Spring Street viaduct.
