Pictured on the postcard below is the Joel Hurt Memorial Fountain, lit up in the brilliant colors of the rainbow.  In the background is the Hurt building.   Hurt (1850 - 1926) was an Atlanta real estate owner and developer whose other business interests included insurance and streetcars.  For much more information on Hurt, I recommend this article in the New Georgia Encyclopedia.

In 1886, he began developing Inman Park on a 130 acre plot just east of downtown.  Named for his friend and colleague, Samuel M. Inman, Inman Park was considered to be Atlanta's first suburb.
