Phil Niekro was not the only major league baseball player to own and operate his own Atlanta nightspot.  Though Donn Clendenon never played for the Atlanta Braves, the Missouri native did move to Atlanta as  a youngster.   In 1969, while playing for the Montreal Expos,  he opened up Donn Clendenon's Supper Club & Lounge, located at 899 Hunter Street NW (now Martin Luther King Jr. Drive).
