Ramblin' Red Bailey  -  Eight Weeks In A Bar Room

DOWNLOAD HERE

Ramblin' Red Bailey hailed from Winder in nearby Barrow County and, if an anonymous poster over on the Georgia Outdoor News forum has it right, was the best friend of absurdist cornpone comic Junior Samples of Hee-Haw fame.  Bailey maintained a presence on the margins of Atlanta's country music scene for several years in the 1960s, and released 45s on a number of small local labels, including Peach, Heap Big, and Great.  Today's offering is a woozy ode to hardcore alcoholism triggered by a shattered relationship with a woman.
