Peachtree Street, looking north toward the intersection of Peachtree and Sixth Streets, in the 1940s.  This stretch of Midtown has undergone some pretty dramatic reinvention in the last couple of decades and I don't think there's a single building in the vintage photo that still stands today.  As you can see, the neighborhood was dominated at the time by homes and small businesses like gas stations and laundry services.
