Hmmm, it seems that the original ironwork archway was replaced and the the new version omitted the words Columbia Theological Seminary. I wonder why.

Columbia Theological Seminary. The seminary, a Presbyterian institution, was founded in Lexington, Georgia in 1828. Shortly thereafter (1830), it moved to Columbia, SC. In 1927, it relocated once again to its present home in Decatur.
