Model railroader Joseph L. Massey has spent a great deal of time working on modeling the Georgia railroad and downtown Atlanta's train infrastructure as it appeared in the early 1950s.  He mentions that these photos all show works in progress and are not necessarily intended to be 100% complete with regard to every minor detail.  Nevertheless, these are some tremendous likenesses and obviously represent a vast amount of time.

This shot shows the view looking west and showing the tracks passing under Whitehall Street (Peachtree Street, just south of Five Points today) and Broad Street as they approach Union Station.  Also visible in the foreground is Plaza Park.
