I am happy to be able to share with you another rather amazing photo from the camera of Dr. William A. Wood, which appears here courtesy of his son Andrew.  Seen here is the service department of the Hix Green Buick dealership, which was located on North Avenue according to a 1953 newspaper ad I located.  It was sited approximately where the Bank of America Plaza now stands.  Beyond the dealership, we can see Crawford Long Hospital and the W.W. Orr building as well.   Sadly, the former Crawford Long Hospital was renamed Emory Crawford Long Hospital some years ago.  But even that wasn't good enough, apparently, so it has recently been re-renamed Emory University Hospital Midtown, despite the fact that it's a bit too far south to be considered Midtown.      Google map
