Here's a June 1973 photo of the construction phase of the Colony Square ice skating rink, which featured 8,000 square feet of ice and was officially known as the Colony Square Ice Capades Chalet.  The rink,  located in the atrium of the complex's main building, didn't last terribly long.  In 1978, it was closed and the space was given over to a food court and some retail shops.
