Seen below is a postcard featuring the Cherokee Motor Inn, formerly located at 310 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE.  Scroll down for another vintage postcard, which lists the street address as being 320 Ponce de Leon Ave.  Keep scrolling for a photo of this address taken in July 2007.         Google map

Seen on the left is The Eagle (a bar), which has an address of 306 Ponce de Leon Ave.  The red brick building in the distance is the Atlanta Transitional Center, which is located at 332 Ponce.  The Cherokee Motel was located in the now vacant space between the two buildings.  Strangely, the 2 postcards for the Cherokee Motel seen above both have slightly different street addresses (310 and 320 Ponce de Leon Ave.  And to add just a bit to the confusion, the ad below, published in 1964,  lists 312 Ponce de Leon as the Cherokee's address.
