757 Cherokee Avenue SE (at Augusta Avenue SE)

This commercial corner is in the heart of the Grant Park neighborhood,  right across the street from the Atlanta Zoo and the Cyclorama.   The long gone Picnic Inn, visible on the right side of this 1952 photo, is also visible in this photo.  When I contacted the Grant Park Neighborhood Association, I found out that the old brick building seen  here is approx. 100 years old.  A shoe store operated here, starting in 1908 or so and lasted around 30 years.
