The Five Acre Auto Court was a
roadside motel at 2056 Cheshire Bridge Road in the 1950s and
60s. The earliest reference to this place I could find
in the old city directories at the library was from 1951 and
by 1967 its listing had disappeared. At the time this
card was printed, surely in the fifties, the motel was on US
23, though at some point that highway was re-routed to
incorporate Clairmont Road instead of Cheshire Bridge.
These days, the Doll House can
be found at 2050 Cheshire Bridge Rd., and Cajenn Construction
& Rehab Services can be found at 2070. The 2056
address no longer longer exists.
