Peachtree at 13th Street

This 1981 photo shows the NE corner of Peachtree Street and 13th Street, at the time the site of the Roma Lounge and the Cine Showcase movie theater. In previous decades the theater on the corner was known as the Peachtree Art theater and Margaret Mitchell, author of a famous book about the Civil War if I'm not mistaken, was on her way to this movie house in 1949 when she was struck by an automobile.
