Even Seen here is a 1940 photo of Atlanta's Labor Day parade up Peachtree Street.  We're looking toward the Piedmont Hotel, now the site of the Equitable Building.  In the distance, we see a pair of Atlanta's most celebrated movie theaters, the Loew's Grand and the Paramount.  It looks to me like the photographer who captured this image was leaning out of a second story window in the Flatiron building.

All the buildings on the right side of Peachtree Street are long gone, demolished to make way for what's now known as Woodruff Park.  Photo via the Georgia State University Library Archives, file LBME2-020e.    Google map
