We're looking northwest along Marietta Street from a parking garage at the SE corner of Five Points in this 1962 photo.  The prominent building on the left is the First National Bank building, before it was resurfaced, which occurred in the 1960s if I am not mistaken.  Believe it or not, it was originally much taller when it was completed in 1905 and known as the Fourth National Bank building.  A good 1950s view of the building, now part of Georgia State University, can be seen on the postcard on the next page.  Copyright Atlanta Journal-Constitution, courtesy of Georgia State University.  File AJCNS1962-00-02d. Lower photo: December 2009.     Google map
