This undated photo, appearing here courtesy of John Steinheimer, shows the Post Office building at the corner of Forsyth and Walton Streets as it appeared not too long after it opened in 1911.  These days the Post Office is long gone, and the building houses federal courhouse offices and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  It's interesting to note that even in its early days as a Post Office facility, that some of its space was used for courthouse purposes, as you can see in the inscription in the lower right hand corner.  Lower photo: December, 2012.         Google map
