The Roxy Theatre, a movie house, occupied space right next to another movie theatre, The Capitol.  Both theatres were located just north of Davison's (which later became Macy's) on Peachtree Street.  This photo was taken the year before Davison's expanded into the space formerly occupied by the Capitol Theatre in 1948.  On the other side of the Roxy (not pictured) is the former site of the Henry Grady Hotel, which is where the Peachtree Westin Hotel now stands.
