In early 2006, I noticed the signs in the yard of this Virginia Highland House, located at the corner of Maryland and Los Angeles Avenues. Knowing that this small house would likely be extensively enlarged or torn down to make way for a more spacious house, I snapped a "before" photo since I thought the transition would make for interesting viewing. After new construction takes place, I often find it very difficult to remember exactly how things looked before.
