In the foreground is the now demolished Capitol Homes public housing project, which was built around 1940.  Capitol Homes consisted of 694 apartments, according to the Atlanta Housing Authority, who has more information on the upcoming redevelopment of this property here. The  project will be known as Capitol Gateway.
