I don't know about anyone else, but if this gas station still existed (and looked like this) I'd be happy to drive to the airport for all my fill ups.  On the preceding page, you can see where it was situated in relation to the terminal.

 

Immediately after posting the postcard showing the airport Gulf station, I was reminded (by 2 or 3 people) of the similarly remarkable Lenox Square Gulf station that was built in 1956 and torn down at some point in the early 1980's.  This is the only decent photo I have of that particular Gulf station.  I found it in the 1975 edition of The American Institute of Architects Guide To Atlanta.  Unfortunately, the photo in the book was quite small so the grainy image above is the best I have to offer for now.  If you have a better photo, please consider sending it in.
