Today (05/03/11) marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the brand new space age terminal at the Atlanta airport.  If you're not completely immersed in aviation lore, you might not have realized that.  I know I didn't, but fortunately David Henderson is around to help me out.  The scans below came a 1961 issue of Delta Digest, just tiny part of his voluminous collection of fascinating aviation ephemera.

David also provided all the images and provided all the text for the larger "Airport Section" of the Atlanta Time Machine.  In addition to that, he also sent in the 1972 map showing the proposed route of I-485 (never built), all the photos in the Lithonia section, an amazing 1933 aerial photo of downtown, and so much more.
