BACK TO GRAHAM JACKSON THUMBNAILS

Another shot of Graham Jackson taken in 1947.

Jackson, as a result of the fact that he was a touring musician, came to Atlanta in 1923 at twenty years of age.  By 1928, he was appointed musical director at Booker T. Washington High School where he remained until 1940.  By 1942, he had enlisted in the US Navy where his skills as an entertainer and a musician were used to help in the efforts to sell Bonds and for recruiting purposes.  He left the Navy in 1945.
