Here's an excellent photo by Dr. William A. Wood (appearing here courtesy of Andrew P. Wood) that looks west along North Avenue toward Peachtree Street, which is at the top of the hill in the distance.  My photo, below, doesn't replicate the original with a great degree of precision, but you get the idea.  The circular C&S Bank tower (1967 - 1993) and the First National Bank (1960 - 2006) buildings are long gone and the new-ish colossal building looming over everything is the Bank of America Plaza, completed in 1992.     Google map
