New material posted on 10/01/2005

This update revolves exclusively around the Imperial Hotel, the 8 story former hotel on the north side of downtown that began its life in 1911 and shut down in the early 1980's.  It sat vacant for almost 15 years before it was renovated and converted into a low-income housing project that opened in 1996.  Over the years, many nightclubs and restaurants operated from within the Imperial.  Most of these new pages feature ads for burlesque clubs and supper clubs such as the Copa Caprice and the Domino Club.  As the featured entertainers included a generous number of exotic and burlesque dancers, I went a bit nuts and put up lots of close ups.  For a while, there was even an offshoot of Los Angeles' famed Whiskey A Go-Go in the Imperial Hotel!  All told, 54 new pages went up 10/01/2005.
