Most, though not all, of the ads highlighted below are for clubs that were explicitly using the word "go-go" in their ads in an attempt to appeal to the desired youthful demographic. Much the same approach took hold around 1961, when clubs all over town were hopping on the "twist" bandwagon with abandon. Don't worry, twisters, we'll be doing a whole section on that craze as well, at some point in the future.
